As a masters student you will be expected to achieve a high level of learning, based on specialist knowledge and demonstrating the ability to synthesise learning and apply critical reasoning.

A different perspective

This is true of any masters course. However, in every other respect our Creative Economy MA is different. It specifically caters to an international audience of people who see problems as opportunities, who have individual and interpersonal skills and people who have a real appetite for learning – especially for broadening their own experiences, challenging perceptions and being open to acquiring new skills.

Challenging pre-conceptions

The sort of person that will benefit from the Creative Economy MA will be someone who believes there is genuine benefit from seeing a different perspective; a person who will enjoy a sometimes uncomfortable view and sense of their role in their chosen industry. Someone who is comfortable working with people from different disciplines from all around the world.

A key point to consider is that these courses are designed to challenge pre-conceptions about creativity and its application in the context of our creative economy. So, whether you come from a 'creative' background, or whether you are considering these courses from a more 'managerial' role in the creative economy, you will be encouraged to reconcile and integrate competing perspectives.
